The build,

Studio-grade. Wet-sanded between coats, finished with an acrylic clear coat for depth and protection. The acrylic window is cut on a CO2 laser — geometry impossible to achieve by hand.

Custom side panels
The original Sony swappable covers refinished in deep blue and gray, wet-sanded between coats and sealed under an acrylic clear coat for depth and chip resistance.

Window mod
One side panel cut open and covered with a sheet of premium clear acrylic, cut on a CO2 laser. The heatsink and the iconic ○△✕□ symbols cast into the inside of the chassis become visible from outside — not stickers, not prints.

DualSense controller
Fully stripped, cleaned, and color-matched to the build.

RGB lighting
Multi-color LED array behind the acrylic window, controlled from a phone app. Pick the color, dial in the brightness, set the speed.

Internal hardware preserved
No motherboard work, no thermal repaste, no firmware changes — only the swappable side panels are modified. Sony's warranty paths remain intact.

Reassembly under spec
Panels seated, aligned, and tested before the build leaves the bench.
